Marijuana Licensing in Nevada
We have assisted their clients with navigating the complex marijuana laws and regulations in Nevada. Because the Nevada Marijuana program is strictly regulated, our clients often rely on us to form their business entities, to assist with applications, contracts, land use, licensing and regulatory compliance.

Nevada State Legislation
Pursuant to state legislation codified in NRS Chapters 678A to 678D, inclusive, cannabis-related establishments and services are authorized to conduct business within the State, subject to State and local regulation.
Federal law and related regulations classify cannabis as a Schedule 1 controlled substance and prohibit cannabis sales, production, and cultivation federally.
Cannabis Establishments include both medical and adult use facilities. Applications for a city-based business license for cannabis establishments will only be accepted with proof of:
- State approval from the Cannabis Compliance Board
- A valid special use permit from the city Planning Department (applications will be accepted if this is in process)
Any cannabis production or cultivation establishment that provides product to a city-based cannabis establishment is required to apply for a business license and await City Council approval.
